Meredith is on the Midland Highway between Ballarat and Geelong, in a large agricultural district. The town developed in the 1850s, on the gold route to townships such as Buninyong, Ballarat, Bendigo & Steigltz. Meredith is one of the oldest towns in Victoria. More information at

Meredith Golf club is 2 km south of town on the Midlands Highway. The lightly undulating sand greens course is surrounded by tall pines, giving protection from wind. The fairways at Meredith are well grassed and the course is open all year round. Kangaroos, echidna and other native fauna live on the course. Visitors are always welcome at Meredith and there is no need to book. The club has a relaxed dress code. Mens competitions are on Saturday from 12.30pm and ladies competitions are on Tuesday from 9.30am.

Meredith Golf Club is open all year.
Green fees under $10.00. Sand greens.
18 Holes, Par 70, ACR 68, 5565 metres.

Accommodation is available at the Meredith Hotel and at Henrys Corner, the Old Royal Hotel.
