Aradale Golf Club, in Ararat in the Wimmera District, was initially built as a therapeutic help for the patients in the nearby psychiatric hospital (now heritage listed), and used by the staff for social gatherings and competitions. The club secretary at the time insisted that the sand scrapes being built be changed to grass greens.

Aradale Golf Club membership has remained stable over the years for both men and ladies. All work to maintain the course is voluntary, with a committee of twelve. The Club's AGM is held in April and Aradale's annual Four-Day Tournament is held in mid November.

Aradale Golf Course has nine holes with watered greens, surrounds and tees. The course is on flat terrain with a creek running through it. A practice fairway is available. Visitors are welcome and green fees are $10.00. Competitions, either for men or ladies, are held at least 4 days of the week. The clubhouse is licensed and is open from noon until 6.00 pm.

Accommodation: Hotel and motel accommodation are available in Ararat.
